Move over Lodhi Gardens in Delhi because Noida is soon going to have a park 1.5 times bigger than it. An ecotourism hub in Noida is on its way to realization and it is going to be the biggest in whole Delhi NCR.

The nature hub, once completed, will feature a wetland, herbal garden, and biodiversity park. This is great news for nature lovers and enthusiasts who are always looking for places where they can spend time amidst nature. The 146-acre park is located in Sector 91 of Noida and is nearing its completion.

The green space in Noida was much needed from avoiding it to become another concrete jungle. This ecotourism hub will prove to become a great haven for those who seek peace and greenery. While the herbal garden and city forest are already complete, the work on biodiversity park is still under progress. Here are various segments of Delhi NCR’s biggest eco tourism hub in Noida:

medicinal plants

Natural Wetland
What once used to be the dumping ground for construction debris has now been converted into a wetland after a volunteer group cleaned the area. A beautiful koi pond with schools of fish and lotus flowers blooming will take its place now.

Medicinal & Herbal Garden
The herbal park, once completed, will have an amphitheater, food court, meditation center, natural lake, and mini waterbodies. It will be constructed with the cost of INR 24 crores. The golf course will also be available to people soon.

Biodiversity Park
Set to be the largest park in the city, this part of the eco tourism hub will have 8,000 trees from 200 different species. The park will be divided into six different biomes and microhabitats, each based on nature’s theme.

Is this place going to be India’s own Gardens By The Bay? We will have to wait and see. With Worlds of Wonder and Botanical Garden, Noida is already giving us more reasons to plan a trip to Delhi and explore what this part of NCR has to offer.

Museums Near National Orchid Garden: Learn The History Of Singapore

Singapore currently has more than 5.5 million inhabitants, about 60% of whom are citizens. The city retains the diversity of its people with an ethnic population of 74% Chinese, 13% Malays and 9% Indians. As a new country, Singapore’s cultural identity is still growing. The government has given priority to integration: for example, neighborhoods receive social housing reflecting the ethnic composition of the city in general. Thus, it is important to visit museums near National Orchid Garden before leaving the place.

They also provide an insight into the history of Singapore like never before. Its approach allows this new city-state, dependent on globalization, to preserve and promote its distinctive cultural offer as a multicultural society. Since independence, Singapore’s economy has grown rapidly due to its openness to trade and global capital, as well as its commercial friendship. As its government has made a point of being very involved in the lives of its citizens, it has one of the most intensive urban planning systems in the world. Land scarcity poses challenges for infrastructure development, particularly in the city center, but Singapore has provided 80 per cent of the population with densely populated social housing. Singapore’s cultural policy is determined by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Communities, and the administration is responsible for two founding meetings, the National Arts Council and the National Heritage Council. The political goal is to create social capital and a sense of identity and nationality. The 2011 Arts and Culture Strategy aims to make culture accessible to all people in the world. The aim is to dispel the impression that culture is limited to traditional “high culture” genres such as opera or ballet, developing hobbies and crafts, popular street performances and cultural activities involving the community, such as getai (optimistic theatrical performances usually held during the Chinese Ghost Festival).

One of the problems facing Singapore politics is the perception that cultural activities are frivolous, elitist or independent of Singaporeans’ lives. However, attitudes are changing and 78% of Singaporeans surveyed in 2015 believe that culture is a value in itself and in building a community. The government is currently trying to create an artistic and cultural audience of 40% of the population, or 80%, and to sponsor artistic events such as the Association of Cities, an association of members committed to social strategy and culture.

Museums Near Chijmes: Time To Learn Singapore’s Vast History

CHIJMES, with its lush meadows, marble cascades, courtyards and neoclassical buildings, has gone back to a more enjoyable time. The answer to its architecture lies in the fact that it used to be a Catholic school for girls. CHIJMES started its journey with one building, Caldwell House, architectural masterpeice by George Coleman ( also associated with the Old Parliament of Singapore) designed as a home for a clerk.

Father Beurel bought the property in 1853, along with the adjoining grounds, and a new school for girls was built. Around Caldwell the construction of many other structures began, including the large Anglo-French Gothic chapel. Both the places are still a wonder to this day. Thus, visiting these museums near CHIJMES is as important as visiting the church.  They also founded an orphanage for unwanted children left behind by their parents. Many of these children were female Chinese babies and were often too sick to be helped. However, for survivors, they received free education from school, including crafts and domestic skills lessons. The educational institution grew rapidly and bought the land nearby to enlarge the complex. This includes land for the construction of a larger boarding school and a chapel for the expanding student base. Look for the Door of Hope, which is still on Victoria Street, where the people left unwanted babies under the care of the church.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the Singapore government planned to develop the site of the church, including a commercial park and a metro system. The government bought the properties in 1983 and transferred the school to a new location in Toa Payoh.

In March 1990, the government put the property up for sale, but this time the chapel acquired historical status and the whole complex had to be preserved along with its general environment. The region has undergone significant development in the six years since it reopened in 1996: its current name, CHIJMES, pays tribute to the name of the school of origin and its previous roles.
